Recently I attended the City Chic Sydney Westfield Flag store launch with the lovely Lisa Rapley. They had 20% off for those attending so I put my money to good use buying this gorgeous dress and their rose kimono.
This is the PERFECT wedding attendee dress. It is high cut enough that I don’t look inappropriate (which is like ALL the damn time) and dressy enough that it can go to many occasions. I guess religious people would call this a ‘Sunday’ dress.
I do already have plans to wear it to my BFF Garwin’s nuptials in September and I’m sure it will get a few uses beforehand. I don’t actually have any other ‘Sunday’ dresses. My clothes fall into three distinct categories: Casual, Work & Going Out. The going out part mostly including clinging, sexy dresses for parties or dinner dates. There just really isn’t a lot of ‘demure yet classy’ items in my wardrobe. And I guess now that I’m getting closer to 30 I should probably start working on that!
|Definite highlights of the night were meeting Courtney (the face of City Chic) and Laura (Bella Box's Beauty Editor).|
I plan to style it with these gorgeous Steve Madden sequin heels, some gold earrings and a gold clutch giving it a more dressed up feel. For less formal events I will wear some lower beige heels & a purple clutch.
If you want to keep ahead of my outfits, be sure to follow me on Instagram! I post my outfit pics regularly (usually before they appear on the blog) and I let you know where you can buy all the items.
