Because I am so overwhelmingly in favour of plus size women getting out to the beaches in their gorgeous swimwear – I'm breaking this Aussie Curves week into 3 posts.
Today I wanted to share with you my Kiyonna swimsuit (which they unfortunately don’t make any more *sad face*). This swimsuit ticks a lot of boxes - it has great front ruching, the style is gorgeous & it holds you in like shape wear – but if you are large breasted like me, this isn't the swimsuit for you. I only ended up wearing it a couple times before I decided the risk of falling out was too much. It will soon be passed on to my mum who has a similar body type, but C cups which will fit a lot better than my G cups did!
However, I wanted to show it to you even though it doesn't fit properly – to let you know that every time you head to the beach or the pool & you feel less than fabulous in your swimsuit, that I am right behind you cheering you on & high fiving your bad-assery.
We all have those moments of self-doubt. I am as white as a sheet of paper and stick out like a sore thumb on the beach, but you know what? I'm not the only one on that sand feeling self-conscious. Almost all those women you see are worried about the same thing – that they’ll look silly & people will judge them. But fuck that, with global warming & starving kids in Africa we have enough real shit to worry about, so why let the small things phase you?
I am engaged to a man that LOVES my curves. And there are a lot of men out there who feel the same way. They’ll see you in your sexy swimwear, being your awesome self & think “damn, she is so fine!” because confidence is sexy. So this summer, be brave – be confident – and be the sexiest curvy girl on that sand!
