Surprisingly this was the week that stumped me. I have pink everything - daily planner, iPad cover, post-it notes, bags & scarves... but I don’t actually own any pink clothes! I'm not exactly sure how that happened. It wasn't a conscious decision to avoid pink, I just haven’t fallen in love with anything pink in a while – well, not anything I could feasibly buy.
Then, like being struck with a lightning bolt, I realised I DO have a pink running jacket! But I'm not running or swimming this week so I won’t get a chance to wear it… Plus, I already planned that jacket into my 'active wear' Aussie Curves week… fuck. So it was back to the drawing board where I decided "screw that" and went with my new scarf.
I bought this pink animal print scarf last weekend from Kmart. It was $9 - like seriously, as if I'm going to pass that up! NINE FRIKKIN DOLLARS! It is really big (which I love in a scarf) and could easily be worn as a sarong, head wrap or shawl. It is made of a thin, lightweight & slightly transparent fabric which really cemented its place in my closet now that we are approaching summer. It adds great colour interest to my otherwise mono-chrome outfit & makes me feel less like a silent film actor. I'm really looking forward to pairing it with my new checker board skater skirt (also from Kmart, because things come home in my bag in pairs… just roll with it)
What I'm wearing: PINK Scarf - Kmart, white (maths paper style!) cardigan - Glassons, Black skinny pants - Target. Unseen - Black & white polka dot flats also from Kmart. Rainbow iPhone case - Colette Hayman.
