Flavours Catering Review

I decided to give the catering for our engagement party its own post because we were so endlessly pleased with the vendor we chose! We went with Flavours Catering, who provided the food, a chef, one waiter, two bartenders, the glass ware and all the bar equipment. Here's a breakdown of the main points:

The Food – we chose our favourites from Flavours’ extensive menu of hot and cold options. The highlights for me personally were the mini hotdogs, the macadamia crusted chicken and the BBQ beef wonton cups. We had 12 pieces per head and that was more than we needed (leftovers for us the next day!! A great hangover cure haha).

The Staff – we were blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff on the night. The waiters/bartenders were exceptional. They were amazingly helpful and so easy to get along with. They really made the night an ‘event’! I think I changed my mind on the menu about 12 times and our event planners (Lauren and Hannah) were both amazingly easy to work with & took each little change in their stride.

The Drinks – Instead of getting a full bar package, we chose to buy the alcohol and have the bartenders serve it on trays for the duration of the party. I’m really glad we chose this option because it meant we could have the drinks we loved & that no one had to queue up for a drink during the party. It worked out perfectly, everyone had a drink in their hands when they arrived and were constantly topped up during the night!

The Overall Package – Flavours aren’t the cheapest catering option, but they are worth every dollar. From the planning stages to the clean-up they were perfect. There is nothing quite like having a wonderful party and NONE of the clean up! We will definitely be using them again for our next function… Now all I need is an excuse!
