Fun With Ripples
My obsession with crochet continues. I am almost done with my latest project - a ripple blanket. Well, more of a ripple lap blanket. When starting the blanket, I was completely unaware of how long it would take me to finish. After the first few rows I was blindingly aware that it was going to be a serious time investment!! Each colour stripe (2 rows) took me about 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
I am generally doing a row every evening that I am at home (which unfortunately isn't terribly often) and its really growing. However the down side of that is now I am unable to take it anywhere! But I have to say that I am really loving the look of the waves.
Once this blanket is finished it will be gifted to its new owner & I will get on to finishing Emma's Birthday Blanket (thank god her birthday isn't until November!). Another ripple blanket is definitely on my radar though. I'm thinking a white, gray & black blanket for Dale or a latte coloured blanket for my Dad.
One thing is certain - If you're related to me then you are probably going to receive a blanket for a gift at some point in your life haha.
